Copynotes: Full calf binding, with decoration and panelling in blind on the boards and a spine-title in gilt. The text-block edges are sprinkled red. UkLiU Manuscript note in ink in Latin on leaf M2.
Editionnotes: [2], v-xiv, [4], 240, 245-254 pages, [13] leaves of plates : illustrations, portrait (engraving) ; 8° (21 cm) Signatures: A⁸(-A1) a1 B-Q⁸ R⁶(-R6). A reissue of the 1732 edition printed by Bowyer, with an altered Latin titlepage and apparently without the added English title-page of the earlier edition. Engravings, consisting of one illustration for each month and a fronsipiece portrait of Spenser, all signed: "P. Fourdrinier, sculp". Errata on a1 recto, with verso headed "To his book." Maslen & Lancaster. Bowyer ledgers, 1826 Latin and English on facing pages.
